Students attending Monash University (Clayton, Caulfield, Berwick and Peninsula campuses) and Deakin University Burwood Campus students are welcome to apply for a residential place at Mannix College.

APPLICANTS!
We will only conduct an interview in June/July 2009 if you are offered a place at Mannix College for 2nd Semester 2009. Otherwise you will need to contact Admissions in September to arrange an interview time to gain a place for 1st Semester 2010.
Application Process
The application process is in 4 parts:
1. Complete an online application form
2. Print out, complete and send in your interview/payment form complete with 2 passport sized photos, a stamped self-addressed DL sized envelope and application fee payment; either a cheque or credit card details.
3. Arrange for a confidential reference to be posted to the College separate to your application.
4. Upon completing the above steps, please contact the College to arrange an interview with the Principal.
IMPORTANT: We cannot arrange an interview time and your application will not be considered until we have received your online application, interview/payment form and the application fee is paid.

Students wishing to take up residence in the College should complete our online application . This secure online system allows you to track your progress throughout the application process. If you are wanting to check the status of your application, please click on 'Check status of application' within the Online Application program. If your status says 'Application Received', that means we have received all parts of your application and we will contact you if we are making you an residential offer in mid-January.
(Please note: online payment of the application fee is not currently available. This fee is to be sent directly to the College.)
Applications are accepted throughout the year however to ensure the best chances of success for your application, we recommend that your application be submitted as soon as possible.
Interviews are usually conducted in October, November and early December. To allow time to organise an interview, online applications should be submitted by Friday 18th December 2009. Please be advised that any applications received after this date will have a limited opportunity to be interviewed by the Principal in early January.
All applications must be completed (i.e. all forms submitted including reference & application fee paid) by Friday 15th January 2010.
Please note that all applications received after the release of VTAC Round 1 Offers in mid-January of each year will be automatically placed on our waiting list.

Interview Form and Application Fee
Once you have completed your online application, you will need to send the following into Mannix College :
- Interview Form
- AUD $50 non-refundable application fee
- Two (2) recent passport-sized photographs of yourself
- Stamped, self-addressed DL sized envelope (for confirmation of receipt of application)
Arrange a Reference
All applicants require at least one reference. We require a character reference that details your academic ability, and any achievements, talents or community involvement. Family members are not acceptable referees.
Your reference form (50KB Adobe Acrobat .pdf format) should be forwarded directly to Mannix College by your referee where it will be matched with your application. (Schools are welcome to write the reference on their own letterhead.)
Make an Interview Time
Once you have received confirmation that your application has been submitted online (evidence of an application number and password), please contact the College to make an interview time.
During October, November, December and occasionaly in early January, the Principal interviews prospective residents in groups of up to 6 applicants. Phone interviews can be arranged for interstate applicants. Overseas applicants do not require an interview, but must meet with the Principal in orientation week.
The interview is an essential part of the application process. It is the applicant's responsibility to make an interview time by calling the College office on (03) 9544 8895.
IMPORTANT: Mannix College examines the Victorian newspaper "The Age" for each applicant's first-round University offer. If your name is not published in this paper (e.g. interstate or overseas students), it is your responsibility to contact the College to inform them of any offer of a place at Monash University or Deakin University Burwood Campus.
